Diversity fosters a more inclusive and equitable society and enriches our communities with a variety of perspectives, experiences, and ideas. It promotes innovation and creativity by bringing together individuals with different backgrounds who can challenge conventional thinking and contribute unique solutions to complex problems. In educational and professional settings, diversity enhances learning and decision-making by exposing people to a wider range of viewpoints and approaches. Additionally, it helps in breaking down stereotypes and prejudices, promoting understanding and mutual respect among different groups.

The INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY ON DIVERSITY (online), which will be organized in the scope of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on Diversity – DIVEU will provide participants with a multidisciplinary perspective on diversity by tackling topics including the linkages of diversity with identity, migration, research, business life, gender etc…

The INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY ON DIVERSITY is organized free of charge within the scope of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence project titled Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on Diversity – DIVEU which is funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Gökay ÖZERİM at Yaşar University.

Application and participation conditions:

Participation in the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY ON DIVERSITY is free of charge.

Priority will be given to the applications of master’s and PhD level students and practitioners/professionals; civil society organization representatives in the field of diversity.

A certificate of participation will be given at the end of the program. (To be eligible for a certificate of participation, participants must

• participate in at least 8/10 sessions of the program.
• prepare at least 2000 words of essay requested within 1 month after the program is over (selected papers will be considered for an edited book)
