Description

This Chair on Multifaceted Approaches to Migration in the EU and Turkey aims to deepen knowledge on European integration and European studies from the perspective of immigration issues in Europe and by bringing representatives from different sectors of migration governance together.

Beyond deepening knowledge and triggering analytical debates on both security and humanitarian aspects of the migration in the EU integration, the extra-curricular activities of the chair will bring together the representatives of the two different sectors non-state actors and state actors.

The chair proposal is innovative by its’ 10 different extracurricular activities which offer lunch-box webinars for the healthcare sector, civil society sector and public sector in migration issues, seminar activities on EU and migration for high school teachers, webinars for the professors on teaching EU in Turkey and; workshops for graduate students. The Chair will use not only traditional teaching technics but also open education resources and platforms. It is expected to reach at least 495 students by 198 hours teaching activities each academic year and at least 500 people by the organized seminars and webinars in total.
