|Title||Gender Politics and EU in the Time of Crisis (GP-EU)|
The number of educational programs on gender politics during the period of the European crisis is very few. A course on this would encompass socio-economic parameters involved in gender balancing strategies as well as consequence in the effective comprehension of gender equality processes that play out in the labor market. In this light, the aim of this module is to provide a scheme of work for economists, researchers, graduate students and sociologists, NGO representatives, the media, and other professional and specialized agencies who are conducting their studies on any area of gender politics as it relates to the European Union during the crisis period, especially the subjects of gender equality and balancing.
There are plenty innovations in the module alongside the rich content it has, the focus, organization, and step-by-step approach adopted in analyzing gender balancing in the scope of unifying Europe by its’ interconnections with policies and initiatives that is geared towards the goal of general development. The beginning of the innovations in the module is the choice made of what teaching scheme to adopt in passing the content of the course across. The module, which would be fixed into the curriculum as an elective course, would be conveyed to learners both near and far. The group of individuals targeted by the module would not comprise only those enrolled in a school, but also researchers, sociologists, economists, journalists, and public agencies, private agencies as well as professional bodies involved in any work that pertains even slightly to human rights, or gender mainstreaming and equality. The motivation for organizing the module in this mixed fashion is to enhance creative and innovative thinking on the subject matter. The subsequent innovation in the module is the prospective impact on education. Apart from the journals, books, seminars, as well as book proposals that are produced by the module group, an extra result would be the unified working/policy papers that the module participants would be required to produce at the conclusion of the course. Given the vast range of learners that would participate in the module, then there are the gross expected impacts that would be made on the literature.
