The first meeting of the Yaşar University Gender Equality Plan (GEP) Working Group was held on May 15th, 2020, under the chairmanship of Rector Cemali DİNÇER.

The Yaşar University GEP Working Group is established within the scope of the CALIPER project, which is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme.

The CALIPER project aims to support the transformation of research institutions to more gender-equal entities by increasing the number of women researchers in STEM, enhancing their carrier perspectives, and adding a gender dimension in research.

The GEP Working Group of Yasar University consists of academic and administrative representatives from different fields and departments, including also high-level policymakers of the institution. The goal of the GEP Working Group is to support the CALIPER project team in the mapping of the organizational capacity of the university in terms of gender equality and contribute to the design and implementation of the GEP. Furthermore, GEP Working Group will provide strategic and technical advice and affect the decision-making processes to drive the design of the gender equality policies of Yasar University and to contribute its’ implementation.
