Description | There are a number of challenges faced by HEIs that need to be addressed in order to enhance recognition and further development of virtual mobility among HEIs. These challenges are those referred to: a) organisational issues (credit recognition, institutional agreements, etc); b) Technological (definition of common standards so that the open resources are re-usable, accessible, etc.); c) pedagogic; A coherent e-learning pedagogy does not yet exist. d) cultural exchange (minimum cultural and linguistic contents about the place visited virtually); e) training/awareness raising (there is a need to raise-awareness among decision-makers and Erasmus officers about the benefits that virtual mobility can bring to their institutions, also, we need to train teachers and students on the objectives of virtual mobility, the tools used to implement it and on the organisational aspects, etc., so that virtual mobility is perceived as a real alternative to physical mobility)
The main aim of the Ubi-Campus project is to provide with a comprehensive approach that can respond to all dimensions of virtual mobility. |
